Recently, the novel coronavirus is rampaging around the world. The Australian epidemic is serious. The health of China's overseas students in Australia is highly concerned by our government and overseas Chinese in Australia. Liang Xiao, a doctoral student of our college (now president of the Great China Federation of Australia), took the initiative to help the overseas students. He donated medical masks and other materials to the Consulate General of China in Perth, and sent them to more than 2000 overseas students in Western Australia. At the same time, he organized more than a dozen Chinese communities to establish a mutual relationship with the overseas students, which strengthened their confidence in overcoming the epidemic. Dr. Liang Xiao's good deeds in helping the Chinese government to help overseas students to fight the epidemic have been highly recognized by the Consulate General of China in Perth. On March 29th, Dr. Liang Xiao's anti epidemic deeds were also reported on China news on CCTV 4, which won a good social reputation for South China Agricultural University.

Liang Xiao is a doctoral student majoring in Agricultural Economics and Management in 2016 of our college, and his tutor is Prof. Tan Yanwen.
